A young girl enjoys an innocent afternoon playing with her cat. Dressed simply in a short sleep shirt, that is opened slightly across her flat chest and barefoot. Her messy hair is pulled up into a short ponytail and a bow tied across the front of her hair. Bangs frame her chubby face and loose strands cover the nape of her neck. She gazes down lovingly at the cat that jumps at her hip, trying to get its paws on the wheat branch stem she holds over its head teasingly.  The cat’s paws curl in hopes of clutching it and its mouth opens for a meow. She is a brown patina with subtle gold touches for detail. 100% bronze and handmade, this sculpture was cast using the “Lost Wax Method” and is mounted on a round black marble base.  This sculpture is signed by the artist  Laporte. Emile Laporte was a French artist.
